The Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust is overseen by a group of volunteer trustees, and employed management team, all of whom are passionate about the purpose and vision of the Hyundai Marine Sports Centre.


Mark Taylor
Mark TaylorChair
Founder and CEO of Framecad Group for the past 27 years, operating internationally in 60 countries with branches across five continents and over 100 staff, Mark has extensive commercial business experience. A keen runner, paddler and sailor, Mark is an active member of Royal Akarana Yacht Club since 2008, currently the Club Captain and on the General Committee.
Matthew Woodley

An experienced business professional, Matthew is Chief Operating Officer of Framecad Group. With a background in strategic sales, marketing and general management he brings a broad range of skills to the Trust. A former Commodore of the Royal Akarana Yacht Club (2011 – 2014) Matthew is an avid sailor, windsurfer, runner, and snow skier.
Anatole Masfen
Anatole MasfenTrustee
With diverse business interests including co-founder of Artemis Capital and director of numerous companies, Anatole has experience across a range of industries including healthcare, energy, food and beverage and IT infrastructure. He is keenly interested in community projects and sport, particularly competitive sailing, fishing, diving, skiing and golf and is an active member of many clubs.
Graham Catley

Graham jointly founded Marstel Terminals with his wife Anne in 1987 and continues to be Managing Director. His experience in large scale project development finance and construction, is of significant benefit to Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust. Graham has been racing, administering and promoting water sports for the past 40+ years and is a keen golfer, sailor and general sports fan.
Brendan Mosely
Brendan MoselyTrustee
Brendan is Director of Campus Life at the University of Auckland and the University’s representative on the Trust. Brendan brings to the trust strong management skills and in particular expertise in balancing commercial requirements with broader community aspirations. Brendan is married with two young children but manages to find time to maintain a passion for Mountain Biking. He is by far the worst sailor on the Trust Board.


Andrew Brookland
Andrew BrooklandGeneral Manager
For the past eight years Andrew has been involved in the design, set up, construction and operations of multi-sport facilities. His previous role was as the General Manager of the Papatoetoe Sports Centre (2008 to 2012) which was voted the Most Outstanding Recreational Facility by NZRA in 2013. Andrew has been involved in sports administration since 1995.
Rachael Wiseman
Rachael WisemanMarketing & Communications Manager
With extensive experience in marketing, stakeholder communication, brand and events management, Rachael is best known for her work re-launching the NRM brand and her ongoing involvement as a Director of Amici Productions. An experienced sailor, Rachael is truly passionate about marine sports in the community.
